Our flat was broken into last night, while we were inside. The burglar ran away when he realised there were people inside and thankfully nothing was taken.
However, it seems that that there are thieves operating in the area, following the Ackroyd road incident in January.
The police have reassured us that this is a low risk area but make sure that you keep your chubb locks locked in all times, even when you are inside. Ours wasn't and Yale locks are really easy to violate.
