I've noticed that The Prince of Wales pub on Perry Rise has closed down and is appears to be under refurbishment.

Does anyone know what's going on with this pub?

Yes, I've just noticed this too.
The metal shutters are up, and it looks pretty permanent.

Unconfirmed reports have emerged that The Prince of Wales has been taken over by Star Pubs & Bars, the Heineken owned group.

Specific details of the deal, what development plans are proposed or over what timescale are not known.

New external security lights have been installed and some people seen to be working inside but it is unclear to what purpose.

The reports also say local Perry Vale Ward councillor, Susan Wise, is looking into this issue.
