Last year I tried the 10,000m steps a day

The most surprising thing was how your mindset changed to planning journeys that included as much walking as posssible. You also start to notice a lot more of the different buildings and discover the various parks and paths that are all over the area.

Easiest way to start is just allowing a bit extra time for your journey to work and getting off a stop or more early on the tube or bus.
