Has anybody got, or know where to find old HOP photos, say from 1920s-1960s? Would not mind one or two for our house.

The chippy in Honor Oak Park have some good ones on display. You could ask in there.

Here's a link for some old photos. You could get these printed. I always meant to get one done as our flat is in it. Haven't got round to it yet.

As mentioned the chippy has some good photos. Also there is a greasy spoon at the end of Ivydale Road, Cheltenhams?? I think which has lots of old photos of the surrounding areas some of HOP i think. Not sure where they got them from.

Hi, there's a stall on bromley high street that sells old post cards/photos of all local areas. Have bought some in the past from here - think it was about £10 for three pictures.

You can research old photos in the the Lewisham local History Library, on the top floor of Lewisham Library, and you can order copies of them.
There are several books by John Coulter and others (John is a local historian) and the best one for HOP area is Forest Hill and Sydenham (Britain in Old Photographs) by J. Coulter and J.Seaman, Sutton Publishing Ltd 2003, ISBN 0-7509-2918-9.
This book has chapters on "Brockley Rise etc." and "Honor Oak Road etc".
It's a bit of a shock to see familiar roads without a single parked car!

Wow, HOP looks soooo smart!

And check those lines of streetlamps on either side. No dark spots there - new lighting installers, please note!

Within the galleries of the site below there are hundreds of old photographs of all the SE London suburbs - As such, Honor Oak Park is not specifically listed, but within the Borough of Lewisham you will find that Forest Hill, Brockley, Catford etc all are, so there's a good chance that there will be some overlap of the Honor Oak Park area. Excellent maps as well. Take a look.
