Not the first time I have heard of mobile phone theft on Devonshire Road, as a friend of mine had a similar experience during the daytime a few months back. Feels like a range of responses are required - the lighting could be improved, greater council and community focus upon safety for that part of the road (and SE23 as a whole), and as you point out, our own alertness to this kind of event. Come on SE23ers, there's so much good stuff going on here at the moment, anything else we can do to support a friend unfortunate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? Any suggestions on who we can "badger" amongst the authorities?
