The other day I was going to the barbers next to the new bakers in Brockley Cross and noticed a man drug dealing. Has anyone else noticed this type of activity around there?

I thought Brockley Cross referred to the area in Brockley around the station - i.e. around where the Brockley Barge pub is. From your original post, it sounds like you are talking about the crossroads of stondon park/brockley rise/honor oak park where the new Betram bakery is, and McClarens cafe. I wasn't aware of any problem with drug dealing there.

Never noticed anything like drug dealing in Brockley rise. Are you sure you did not jump to conclusions when something else innocent was going on? I walk around there everyday at different times, including late and I have never witnessed anything.

I have seen this going on a few times - at the end of Gabriel St (on Brockley Rise near the Chicken Shop) and also at the top of Lessing and Balina Street. Seems to be teens selling the odd bit of puff. It hasn't concerned me enough that I would contact the safer neigbourhood team as yet, but very much worth keeping an eye on.

Not being funny Ghis but I have enough experience of this to sniff a dealer out at 100 paces - if you catch my drift!

Such things are not possible in SE23, unless Brian has gone into business outside the Abbey.

Brian's not the only one to have seen dealing on London Road. I've seen dealings taking place late at night outside Acorn (hooded youths, overweight middle aged man and dime bags) and our weekly fishmonger claims to have been warned by the police about a local crack house.
Not sure the needle exchange on Dartmouth Road helps discourage these activities.

Okay, so I was being deliberately naive as a lighthearted response to comment on a post that has now gone, thus expose my comment with little context. But I hope I am not being naive in thinking that if the police knew about a crack house they would close it down. There have in the past been crack houses closed down by the police in SE23, the one I know about being quite far away from Dartmouth Road.
If anybody does suspect that drug dealing is taking place on a regular basis in Forest Hill, then I would urge you to report it to the police, who I believe will take action if we are discussing class A drugs.

Sounds like a normal rent collection day at Acorn....
