Come on Brian, lets not be naive, yes FH/SE23 is a very good place to live, yet it does have its problems and crime, so your saying there are no such things in this area, well maybe 30-40 years ago there were none, anyway its only a silly rumour that someone started,so just ignore it

What is it that Brian doesn't think happens in Forest Hill, prostitution or dumping bodies in wheelies bins? I only find the latter shocking.

Given that somebody has been charged with murder it might be better not to speculate on the exact circumstances of the death or repeat 'silly rumours'. I am naturally as curious as everybody else regarding the details of a murder so close to home, but I don't think wild speculation and rumours are helpful to anybody when there is an on-going police investigation.

Prostitution is something that happens regardless of your post code, Brian i think you would be shocked to find out that there are brothels in forest hill but are so discreet you would never know, I agree with previous comment bodies in wheelie bins you dont expect regardless of where you live.

In the local history centre there was a book of a lady's memories of FH at the turn of the century.
She described a house in devonshire road that always had young women in the front garden, many with children. Her mother would cross the road when passing them, but her father was on first name terms with all of them!!

Shouldn't this thread now be moved into the 'trading post' section?

No, I have no desire to visit one of those. But a bagel shop would be nice.

I'm afraid not. I used to leave beneath a brothel on Codrington Hill. We didn't find out until after we left!

I'm sure there is money to be made from a bagel shop/brothel crossover - the punters need sustenance, and who knows the bagel might have been created by a baker being 'experimental' with a bread roll. Sounds perfectly sensible.
