As a grown man of 40+ I must say this terrible, but the 13 year old side of me remembers doing the same stuff and can commend them on picking a good vantage pont.
Mini Rockets can be easily aimed at running friends using the inside of a Raleigh racing bicycle handlebars. Or even held at arms length.
Although the practice of unwrapping fireworks to collect the powder together, light it and call it a "Genie" always seemed a waste of a good bang.

Its a bit antisocial giving out ideas like that. The youngsters don't need encouragement to carry out dangerous practises.
Perhaps this might present a sobering thought

Mgmonkey. I don't agree that this is funny or a stage we all go through. Spare a thought for all the householders and shopkeepers who have to wash down the fronts of their premises. The police are now involved what with the dangers of fireworks being thrown at cars and pedestrians

Agree with you doobyscoo & Bt.
It's crazy that kids can, basically, buy explosives in the corner shop.

MGMONKEY did say it's terrible and I doubt there are youngsters of any behavioural persuasion - let these local tearaways - reading this forum, hence, his/her words are in no danger of enticing them into carrying out any similar actions. Some of us did some stupid things when we were younger and I really can't see why mentioning them through a relatively grown-up medium, such as this forum, should attract such a fuss.

Quite sad to see my fun as a kid is now anti-social behaviour. Sniff!

Yes actually I have - the amount of youths hanging around on Codrington Hill has grown over the last few months - most seem to live on the street though so if they cause any major problems I'd be knocking on their door to talk to their parents.
Failing that, give the local SNT a call (I reported problems with them once) and Sergeant Hawtin went and spoke with them - no problems since (except a bit of noise in the street late at night)

Imagine just how many of these young families moving into the area will have bored teenagers in a few years.
