The other sad rumour is that St Davids coffee shop is likely to close in the next few weeks, unless somebody would like to take over this business.

Very sorry to hear about St David's if the rumours prove to be true.

We love St Davids too. It was the first coffee shop to drag us out of Sydenham and attracted our hard earned pay to be spent in Forest Hill instead.

I really hope that St. David's doesn't close, for me the best coffee in Forest Hill.

Does anyone know the reason behind it?

I love that coffee shop! It always seems busy enough to me?

I really really hope that this isn't true. I go to St. Davids every day so I will find out tomorrow!

True, I'm afraid.

They're moving out of London, and hope to find someone to take over the business.

I agree, v depressing.

Best coffee in London - and I speak as someone who grinds her own beans.

Brockley John has provided the latest information on http://www.southeastcentral.co.uk/thread...ment.3540/

Owners Dan & Lisa felt that it was time for a change, and decided to sell up. For a while it was looking like the cafe would shut for good, but thankfully some buyers have come forward in the final hour, in the form of three friends who were regular customers. The cafe is now temporarily closed for handover and a few changes. Not sure when it will be open again. Watch this space!

A close shave but saved, in true Victor Kiam style, by customers to liked to coffee so much, they bought the shop!
