The It Kickz Music Project (IKMP) is held on Friday evenings between 5.30pm-7pm at Forest Hill School. This innovative FREE programme is a must for any young person interested in developing their music skills and maybe a career within music.

Aimed at young people with limited access to out of school music opportunities the IKMP is a unique programme incorporating term-time workshops, summer and collaborative projects, performances, and music related visits and talks, alongside peer mentoring, volunteering and leadership opportunities. Particpants are provided with free access to instrumental tuition, creative music training and can gain a nationally recognised Arts Award.

As well as developing their instrument technique, musical talent and leadership skills, participants will also develop important personal and life skills, such as self-confidence, communication skills, teamwork and improved concentration. Plus, they can gain Arts Award accreditation that can be used as a credit and stepping stone towards work experience and employment opportunities, enhancing their educational opportunities and outcomes.

Interested young people should email itkickz@hotmail.co.uk to register their interest and come to the information and taster session on Friday 14th September 2012 5.30pm-7pm.
