We are planning on eating out this Christmas day. Do any of you guys have any reccomendations of any places open within or around the SE23 area?

Thanks

Now THAT is forward planning. You are planning your Christmas meal even before the decorations have come out and the xmas muzak has started in the shops - and that starts early enough. I doubt many of them have started taking bookings quite yet.

I'm guessing that the usual haunts will be open such as the Dartmouth Arms and The Honor Oak, but it depends on what you are looking for. Smart? Family? Pub? Alternative?

Barcelona Tapas bar is usually open and I think they are taking bookings. Ok, more UDB than se23 but its only a short walk.

Unfortunately the Dulwich Woodhouse seems to have a ban on children at the moment inside the pub at least - they used to be very family friendly - they say its because their insurance doesn;t cover kids however I think its because they want to discourage families in favour of serious drinkers who spend more money. One of the effects of the smoking ban is more kids and families in pubs these days- suits some businesses better than others. Suggest people check before going but they may make an exception for Xmas Day otherwise they would lose business.

We've been to Babur on Christmas Day for lunch and it was excellent. Curried sprouts FTW!

We were stranded on xmas eve when our flight got cancelled (grr easyjet no compensation!) With no food in the house as we drove back from the airport all I could do was worry about xmas diner. Hoorah le querce! the fit us in last minute and we even bumped into friends there. It was buzzy and there were plenty of kids so turned out to be a good day after all.

Yes, your Christmas menu looks excellent. But why don't you show the fantastic price you mentioned in your post!
