The very best way to end the long school summer break. This year the Festival has an amazing music line up (as usual), amazing fun for all the family (as usual), an amazing and wide-open spacious location with some of the best views and sunsets you'll ever see across London (as usual), and also has a bar that makes you feel like you've just stepped back to the 1980's. Not because of the decor, but because of the prices!!

I'll very soon be posting a complete line up of the amazing bands who will be appearing on either the main outdoor stage or the incredibly intimate indoor stage, but for those who came last year, or the year before, just share the word with your friends, because you know what a great day you'll have.

Every year we try really hard to make the Aquarius Festival better than the year before. This year will be no exception, as we are recognised partners of Southwark's 'The Elephant & The Nun' Festival, which runs for a week up to Sunday 2nd September at events across South Southwark. Our line up includes a number of new local acts, as well as some of the most highly acclaimed and revered artists and bands.

We have Blue Commotion, described by Time Out as 'Britain's greatest blues band'. We have an amazing Jazz line up, featuring a return to the Festival of Britain's greatest Jazz Guitarist, the wonderful Mr Esmond Selwyn and his Organ Trio. We have an amazing local line up of folk, funk, country, rock and Indie music as well as a few surprises. We have bouncy castles, fun for kids, and so much space you could swing a cat with a 400 yard rope and it would still... swing. The outdoor stage also has beautiful deck chairs so you can watch the awesome acts in very summery comfort!!

The best bit. You only have to pay a pound. Just £1.00!!!! If you're under 16, and accompanied by an adult, you don't have to pay a penny.

In addition, and because it's the Golf Club's Centenary Celebration year in 2012, we are also holding a raffle for which one winner will receive a year's full membership of our historic club (worth over £500) for just £10.00 per entry. (Tickets on sale from 3rd August) The winner of this incredible prize will be announced from the main stage of the Festival ahead of the headline act, at around 6.30pm. So if you're local, and would like to play golf whenever you want, what could be more attractive?

Aquarius Festival. The most communal music festival in SE London. Come and grow with us. Come and play with us.

I'll be back with some details of bands & attractions at his years Festival over the coming days and weeks, so keep an eye on this space. It's going to be AWESOME!!! Check out the poster for our full line up of the very best in local music!!!
