Not inspired by my dealings with them thus far. Telephone useage by their staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Hopefully Fusion will run this pool better than they do 'the bridge' where their management falls somewhere between 'poor' and 'awful'.

My children (age 5 and 3) have swimming lessons booked every Wednesday at the bridge. The cancellation rate (where someone from fusion rings me and cancels the lesson because 'the water is too cold', 'we have no staff' or 'there is no water' ) is about 40% with yesterday being the latest occurrence.

On booking the next set of lessons there has never been an issue with getting the cancelled lessons refunded but it is irritating because often you would have done something different with the afternoon if it wasn't for the swimming lesson.

It is true to say that there only seems to be one person who can take telephone enquiries about Forest Hill pools, It took me about a week and then I managed to get things sorted. And in her defence she did say she had been off work sick.

I so hope the centre is well run and the team reliable.

Without wanting to sound like the child in the back seat asking for the 10th time if we are nearly there yet, as we approach the end of July has anyone heard anything further about the mooted July opening or are we probably back to the original September date?

Fusion told me that they will get the keys at the end of July and 'have to be open' a week after that. It also appears that Mayor Bullock has already had a swim:

"Just had a swim in the new pool in Forest Hill!!!! Its been a long struggle but worth it - the new building looks great and so does the old frontage - everyone involved is working their socks off to get it ready to open to the public in a few days time - I was there with some local school students to make sure the pool really is as good as it looks. it is!"

It looks like Steve Bullock jumped the gun slightly. The latest we have is that Fusion will get the keys to the building sometime next week.

After that, they have to install their IT equipment and get their suppliers to deliver all the sporting equipment. They had originally planned four weeks to do this, but will try to get it completed as soon as possible.

We're definitely on the final stretch.

I have been told they have no date set, but they hope some time in August .. obviously the opening prior to the Olympics has elapsed. Also I think a few people have had money taken from their accounts for membership already without the centre even being open!

Its not great is it? I only heard yesterday that my lesson booked for today wouldnt be happening, and that was after I sent an email enquiring as to whether it would be happening.
I've had to make arrangements with my employers especially in order to get early shifts on Fridays so its all a bit dissapointing really.
Still at least I've reserved a place so I should be grateful for that!

Not looking good I'm afraid. I spoke to them yesterday about my swimming lessons and they said doesn't look like August, hopefully September.

It would be good if Fusion, or Lewisham, would give us some information about what the problem is and what is being done to resolve it.

Oh! And to add insult to injury I finally got a call today telling me my lesson wouldnt be happening this evening, when my lessons were due to start last Friday, and as I previously mentioned if I hadnt emailed last Wednesday to ask if the 3rd was still my start date I would have been none the wiser.
Its very badly organised.

Well, I hate to say I told you so... Fusion have a reputation, and it's not a good one.
