Any idea what's happened? Looks like a forensic cordon in place

Oh no, that's terrible news Sad
Was slightly annoyed at being let all the way down there with the dogs from Woolstone, only to be turned back.
No issue with the cordon being enforced, but would have been nice if the officers at the Woolstone end knew what they were doing.

Hope the victim of this isn't too badly hurt, and that the people responsible are brought to justice. And just in case there are any hippies or over enthusiastic life lovers reading... I hope its all done gently, legally and very fairly.

Must have been pretty serious - the air ambulance landed and only took off again a few minutes ago - must have been on the ground at least an hour.

Hopefully they have made the difference. Did hear the chopper but didn't know where it was coming from. Where did it land.

I saw it flying overhead. It did not seem to know where it was going to land.

Yeah they rarely have a planned landing space. Depends on the pilots decision and conditions. As well as the police being able to make the place safe and available.
They do a fantastic job though.

This Cranston Road resident heard nothing, apart from a helicopter going back and forth overhead, but seemingly too fast to be going anywhere local.

Must have fallen asleep with all the peace and quiet you got from the road closure I would expect Smile

Very vague info on the news feeds at the mo, I imagine it will stay that way. Always good to know what you should be doing or avoiding though, so I hope some news is given.

Wishing the victim all the best.

Thanks to everyone who has already RT our appeal. Luckily the victim's injuries are not life threatening. We are keen to catch the suspects

Initially everyone sympathises with the victim but I have noticed a pattern. Quite often the poor victim is eventually exposed as one of the worst and he was not stabbed for no reason. It may not be the case but it often is.

Need to wait before all the facts come out!

Kelmscott please don't take my well wishing as sympathy. I agree that there is usually a lot more to it. However they usually have families not involved in the same activities and losing a child or sibling is never going to be nice.

I am sure we will only ever hear a media friendly version of events, but agree 100% with you.

Loss of life is rarely deserved.

Thanks Snazy, good to hear that the police have reported the injuries were not life-threatening as I had heard a different story from someone and was fearing the worst.

Also, just to say I agree with your last comment.

Yesterday (Wednesday 13th) around 5:45pm I was walking my daughter to her swimming lesson along Stanstead Road when we discovered police had cordoned off a 185 bus on the South Circular by Ravensbourne Road and the office told me it had been another stabbing. How sad and it feels like a worrying increase in the number of incidents in Forest Hill and Catford.

Coverage from the News Shopper http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/top_st...rest_Hill/

Quote:
DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a stabbing in Forest Hill.

Police were called to Cranston Road at around 5.15pm on Sunday (June 10) and found a 16-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds to his shoulder and back.

He was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a serious yet stable condition.

It is believed the victim was on his way to visit a friend in the area when he had a conversation with three men.

He was then stabbed in the street.

The suspects are believed to be around 19 or 20 years old, black and all were dressed in dark clothing.

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 020 8284 8339 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Coincidence(?), but that same day our neighbour in nearby Como Road got attacked by 3 young lads trying to break into his place. They just walked in off the street, asked for some girl and barged in as he was explaining that he didn't know who she was. He has security cameras and recorded these images of the attack. Amazingly he managed to repel them. I get pretty shaken up just watching this.

Probably best not to comment on the Como Road incident in case it prejudices a future legal case.
