I wandered up to the park in the late afternoon yesterday, rather fearing the worst as I usually visit the Horniman for a bit of peace and quiet. What I found was a festival with a lovely family atmosphere. I had intended just taking a walk through but I actually stayed for a couple of hours and it was a very pleasant way to spend a lazy afternoon. The music was very varied and I must admit not all to my taste, but none of it was excessively loud so by moving around a little you could choose how much (or little) you wanted to hear.

I think the organisers have done a splendid job with this and I think it is exactly the sort of event that should happen in the Horniman from time to time. I hope the weather stays fine and the second day is as successful as the first appeared to be. I would certainly recommend a visit. Smile
