It's all gone a bit quiet estate-agent wise at the moment, so I thought I might put a little ad up here too (I've been lurking for a while and hope to contribute rather more positively once I finally get to Forest Hill!).
I'm looking to rent a one (or possibly two) bedroom flat in Forest Hill. I have a car so need either off street parking, or to be on a road with loads of parking available. I'd like to be relatively central, location-wise; a ten/fifteen minute walk to the station would be great.
Other than the parking, my only other real requirements are some kind of central heating, and a bath as well as some kind of shower (shower over bath = perfect). I don't have my own furniture but am happy to get some, so don't mind whether it's furnished or not.
I like to think I'm a great tenant - I've just turned 40 and my days of partying are long behind me (unless you count board games nights!). I don't smoke. I'm permanently employed as a consultant, and we're expanding at the moment so I expect to remain in this job for the foreseeable future. My work involves a mix of travel, working in London and working at home, but it's all laptop based - I shan't be dismantling motorbikes on your carpet ;-).
I used to own my own house / flat, then moved into renting during a period of self-employment, and I expect to remain renting in the future, so ideally I'd like to find somewhere I really like so I can stay put for some years to come. The last two years I've been flatsharing (because of working away a lot) but haven't really enjoyed it, so it's time to go back into living on my own!
Ideally I'd like to move at the beginning of June, but could wait longer for something very lovely. Conversely, if there's something terrific available sooner, I may be able to flex that way as well!
If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask!
