Hello,

We're considering buying a property in Tyson road and were wondering what it's like as a street in terms of noise levels/ safety/ neighbours?

Also, does anyone know about the progress with the development on the 15-19 block?

Thanks,
Glorianne Smile

I think you will have one neighbour with a title!

There have been some reports in the past of anti-social behaviour close to the shop on the Tyson Road Estate. But I think police action has significantly reduced these problems and the area is generally safe.

The mayor of Lewisham has lived on the street for a long time, and I think this is a good indication that it is a nice place to live.

I assume you have visited Tyson Road more recently than I have if you are considering buying a property, so you would know more about the demolition of the existing houses at 15-19 and any further work to build behind Tyson Road.

There is a recently convicted mugger who lives on that road. Just kids. but still. A knife was involved (his accomplice). I've often thought: should people be told about this kind of thing, where these kind of scumbags live? And... you asked. Plus pathetic though it might seem I've since stopped ever walking down there. Others might feel the same

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. Looking around forest hill coming from Southwark, so it's nice having a sense from the locals as to what particular roads are like. Will carry on scouting, thanks again.
