Judging by the reply I received to a recent enquiry regarding longer trains on the Overground they are still lobbying the government for funds.
I was also informed that as the trains now run at what is considered almost maximum capacity throught the New cross gate / Forest Hill section there is little chance of them slipping in the odd extra rush hour train to West Croydon to alleviate the increasing rush hour overcrowding. Victim of its own success or what?
