Albeit now nearly 17 years ago, it was the lack of reception venues that made us give up on getting married locally. We would dearly have liked to get married at St. Augustine's on One Tree Hill, it would have been a beautiful setting, but it was the lack of a reception venue that forced our decision.

We were absolutely horrified at the sum quoted by the Horniman for the use of their conservatory - quite unrealistic and beyond the reach of ordinary mortals. (I suspect they are trying to put people off really.)

As a result, we took our not insubstantial budget elsewhere, which also meant a loss of business to local florists, car hires, cake makers, hairdressers, etc. etc.

Surely someone in FH is missing a trick here?
