Is anyone else finding that when they try to drive anywhere at the moment, they are hampered at every turn by temporary lights? They started on Perry Rise then the nasty ones at Crofton Park appeared. Somewhere along the line they chucked a set in along Stondon Park and now they've really turned the screw by putting a four way arrangement at Brockley Grove / Manwood Road. The only explanation is the approaching end of the financial year. It would be more tolerable if some people didn't think that the rules are you can keep driving as long as there is a car in front of you even if the lights have changed. Rant over, thanks for listening :-)

Probably also the moratorium on road works during the Olympics means there is a rush on now to get things done.

Agreed, theplanner, and I think you're right about the financial year - and also addressing the damage caused over the winter.
There's also another set on Honor Oak Road, where yet again they are trying to stem the flow of water into the road.

Given there are now two leaks on the London Road just down from the Horniman I would suggest we are in for more of the same soon.
