Does anyone know what is being done in the space opposite where the new houses are being built between Ballina and Lessing Streets? I haven't seen a planning application, but there has been a lot of activity, and concrete has been poured in the last week. Wondering what is going on ...

OK, I should have googled a bit more thoroughly first - I've now found the planning application - apparently there will be another 5 houses built! I'm sure I didn't see this one coming out when it was first proposed, but it's got to be better than the old garages were, and it looks as if pedestrian/bike access will be restored at the end of the day.
DC/10/75766/X is the planning application number.

I think the applicant has done a very sensitive job, the new houses are an impressive match for the adjacent Victorian terrace.
