I haven't noticed this particularly but I have noticed,
for some considerable time,
an idiotic lack of consideration for any fellow passengers on the pavement afforded by people plugged into mobile devices of any kind.

Some seem to be unable to walk two steps without being plugged into a social network and show no consideration for the flesh and blood network they are trampling, banging into, elbowing, impending by swaying around, or deafening with appalling music and bellowed conversation.

I am amazed to hear these people can also read - unless it is textspeak.
