According to the East Dulwich Forum there has been a shooting outside the cemetery on forest hill road. Huge traffic problems. Please avoid the area. Very sad.

I'm not sure if they're linked, but there seem to be two major incidents.
One outside cemetery on Forest Hill Road and one outside deli in HOP. Don't know any more than that the one in Forest Hill Road was a shooting.

Ok not good with all the school kids coming out at the time as I walked out at 3.25pm when the Stillness lot were coming out as I live down there and heard sirens and then as I got to Brockley Supermarket saw loads head up and an ambulance plus a helicopter - suppose more will come to light soon as people enquire.

B238 London - B238 Forest Hill Road in East Dulwich closed in both directions at Therapia Road junction, because of a serious police incident.
Thats all I can find on the BEEB at the mo and thats about traffic.

There's been a police helicopter flying over HOP since about 10am this morning - now I know why!

Rumours are that there was a second shooting in Hop by the deli. Anyone know any more? There were police cars at the rec as well this morning. Really horrible.

As sad as the matter is, I have to say some of the claims and stories on the other forum are truly out of this world. I didnt realise how many out of work NOTW journalists lived locally.

Very sad indeed. Although what was the police chopper doing around all day if the shooting was around 3pm, I saw it circling from at least 10/11ish? Loads of flashing lights up on the HOP parade as I was walking back with my son from school too - can anyone shed any light on this?

The police helicopter carries out a huge range of roles, so could have been something totally harmless and completely unrelated to this, especially so far in advance.
It is possible they were observing people readying themselves for the funeral.
No point me speculating though. A lot of time was spent by Dacres Rd, and Valentine Court this morning though.
