on the trip wire will fire the blank (see the link above) then there could be a lot of disturbance from inquisitive foxes! Seems like a slightly less sensitive trip wire is required. Does seem like a useful deterrent though because it would alert all in the area to the presence of intruders and probably not be as widely ignored as domestic burglar alarms.
