The Good :
- Transport infrastructure with easy and fast access to shopping and nights out in Croydon, Surrey Quays, Canary Wharf, East Dulwich and West End.
- The Hob pub for bands and comedy nights.
- The view on a clear day from the top of Horniman Gardens.
The Bad :
- You can't have proper night out in Forest Hill where you eat in a restaurant, hit a few decent bars afterwards and stay out till 1am. Not as buzzing as Crystal Palace or East Dulwich.
- The depressing high street. It's a shame that the only new businesses are the poundshop (where Blockbuster was) and a Sue Ryder charity shop.
- Now that Forest Hill is on the tube map, worried that too many BTL investors might take over and there will be a transient population instead of a stable community.
and The Ugly :
- Forest Hill Station, the cheaping looking, horribly designed footbridge and the underpass.
- The shopfronts on Dartmouth Road.
- The yellow stencils of dogs on pavements courtesy of Lewishan Council.
