"You'd think the whole of HOP had been invaded by Daily Mail readers. Perhaps that's it; maybe people are worried about plummeting house prices as hordes of pizza-guzzling chavs (most of them illegal immigrants) defy their ASBOs and descend on the Parade of an evening, powerless to resist the aroma of baking pizza dough and the twang of mozzarella stretched (like themselves) beyond endurance?"
People who care about how the high street looks or the shops that appear on it are not automatically "daily mail readers", nor do they fit the stereotype you so colourfully depict. The vast majority of new businesses that have opened recently in HOP are making an effort to make the parade a more pleasant environment for shoppers and residents.
No need for me to repeat what Cheeky has so eloquently posted, but I'm not sure it is fair to denounce anyone who would prefer NOT to have a fast food chain in the parade's flagship unit as a classist snob.
