Yes it has been acquired by a theatre co on a short term basis I believe, they are using the space for theatrical storage and meet ups. Great that the site will be used.

Better than it be empty. I think it will still be marketed for a perm business to come in on a long term basis....hopefully a nice bar / restaurant which would be ideal.

Also have found out they are looking to open up the space sometimes for different pop ups, maybe things like vintage fairs / music / drinks / food etc, which will be nice to go along to. Will see what happens...am sure info will be posted on here and it will be advertised locally at some point.

Whilst it would be great if a long-term solution could be found, I like the fact that the site will at least be used and the idea of using it for pop-up events is a really good one.

For definition of 'regulated entertainment' see:

There's not (yet) any information in the list of current entertainment applications at http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/bu...ations.doc

Rumours are rife about it being turned into a vegetarian restaurant...

Considering that less than 10% of the population are vegetarian, it would be highly unlikely that a restaurateur would exclude 90% of their potential customer base. Not going to happen vegetarians.

It wouldn't be the first vegetarian restaurant in the world. There used to be a nice one in Deptford but it closed years ago. There is certainly a gap in the market for a quality vegetarian restaurant and I'm sure they wouldn't exclude meat eaters.

There is no need to eat meat every time you go out for a meal, in fact I almost never do. Good vegetarian food can often be almost as nice as a decent piece of well cooked meat.

There is an application for late entertainment licence in the window??? You think that's for noisy theatrical rehearsals or a (hopefully) bar/pub with live music!!

And me - anyone that was on the "say no to Dominos" email list will know what they intend to do - sounds like such fun!

It sounds like a cracking idea. I won't spill the beans but if you look in the window there's an email address and you can get in touch with them for more details.

Is it going to be a vegan burger bar with naked waiters juggling the olympic rings and tap dancing down the aisles whilst serving 1st class food? Ok, so I'm bored today, but can't get to that window, I'm afraid. Anyone want to tell us what it says, pleeeaaasee?
