Nice to see the building fully now. Hoardings all coming down today. View around Perry Vale also much improved.

Thats good to see.

I hope that these flats being finished and filled will give the developers at Phoenix works across the tracks some incentive to restart their development.

Looks generally better on the turn in the road... but yes, some trees would soften the street landscape somewhat. Now... where's that controlled pedestrian crossing?....

You won't get a crossing until somebody gets killed!

Didnt think there was gonna be a proper crossing there. Not really any need for one to be honest.

As for trees.... We have just got a clear view of the corner back, the only place trees belong is on the pavement near the funky bench, opposite the pub.

Perry Vale localities fund is being used to plant some trees in the ward. Perhaps this is a good location to include in this plan?

Yes, along that stretch, between the turn-off into the car park and the tunnel: it really needs something to soften the new work. And there's plenty of room with the new wide pavement.

There were trees shown on the original Berkeley Homes planning layouts. Don't know if they indicated intention to plant or were just included to prettify the plans.

Good point.
http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/ACOLLATEDOCS/13780_9.pdf shows trees on both sides of the road and a planted section on the corner.
