I know it's not really a problem and it's probably more to do with me becoming a grumpy old man, but I am really annoyed by the amount of chicken bones that litter the pavements of Forest Hill.
There's lots of bins everywhere and yet people think it's ok to throw chicken bones on the pavement.
They are not even original, why always chicken? Why not throwing cow, pork or fish bones sometimes? I would have more respect for such a person, at least he would show to have more varied diet.

Living on Waldenshaw Road we get a few people parked up who eat their food and then throw the package out the window. I have caught a few people doing this over the years and enjoy picking up the discarded wrappers and putting them under their windscreen wipers and walking off.

Are you sure they are chicken bones? It could well be folk from Islington coming down the ginger line to litter our streets with guinea fowl or capon.

I agree about the chicken bones, it's a nightmare trying to stop my dog grabbing them constantly when out and about and they can be quite dangerous for them. The street cleaners seem really diligent around FH though so it's just irresponsible chicken eaters and not a lot can be done about that !

Trouble is the increasing number of people who walk about eating , especially overweight children.
I was always told not to eat whilst walking about . As Robert Zimmerman would say , the times they are a changing.

This also encourages the urban fox population is SE23 to get a free "meal" from these.

Chicken bones are the food of Teenagers and Teenagers like to create mess as it marks their territory. I walk a friend's dog and every time I come near a Chicken Shack, he goes wild.. and it's so bad for dogs to eat the bones. You should see Sydenham Wells Park after a hot sunny picnic day.. it's like a massacre!

oooo don't get me started on the spitting, a guy stopped in front of me on the pavement the other week, made a hideous spitting gurgling sound... then spat ceremoniously on the pavement. I had to step over his mess. Needless to say I didn't look at what was produced... maybe he made such a terrible noise as he was exhaling a chicken bone from his nose?

It's funny you should mention this because every time I take a class of young children on a school trip they always manage to see a chicken bone in the street and will point and shout 'chicken shop'. So I don't think it's just the teenagers as even 4 year olds seem to know where all the bones originate come from.

I normally find that I see the bright orange cardboard boxes the chicken comes in lying about.
If it's the same people that like to let their dog fowl in my front garden, it would appear to me 50/60 something white women. No word of a lie. 2 occurrences of being spotted red handed in the last couple of months. The look on their face when I'm banging on our window is a picture!

Well done to the environmentally conscious schoolkids who wouldn't dream of littering the pavements and instead leave their chicken carcass remains on the 122.

Perhaps all chicken shops should be closed.
We used to do without them. People actually cooked proper meals.

Yes I agree, lets start a petition. CLOSE ALL CHICKEN SHOPS!!!!!
I never saw chips or chips wrappers on the streets in the 70's!

What would the fat kids eat if we closed the chicken shops? Next thing there will be yoghurt cartons spread all over the pavements

So......some people throw stuff on the street and some people get fat because they shove food in their gobs with gay abandon so we have to shut all convenience shops.
I dont litter and I quite like the ribs from the Southern Chicken Shop and I am not obese. Why should I be penalised?

What amazes me is when you see children walking home school. 99% seem to be eating on the move.
Where do they get the money?
No wonder they are fat when they eat a rubbish takeaway before mother's cottage pie.
