Greetings... I left the area in 1969, although made frequent visits up until about 1975. I will be making a visit to the area in the summer - will I notice any changes Confused ISTR that Cobbs closed down a while back, although that was perhaps SE26.

Still, I shall expect to find a decent pint somewhere; maybe that place across from the railway station. Maybe my old school is still standing, known usually as "Dacres Road" although I am not sure it was actually on Dacres Road, and that was not its proper name.

Yes old school still there but rebuilt. I went there from 60 to 66. Were you there then?

Pub opposite station was then called Railway Signal . Now Hob abd Beer not bad.
The Old Forresters , other side of the railway has good beer so does Dartmouth Arms and Capitol ( old ABC Cinema ). Avoid The Bird in Hand.

Hope you enjoy your return
