I have heard via the grapvine that above named road will soon be a permit only parking zone area

I know that The Park/Park Hill have been for a few months now, yet these are now run by L&Q housing

Does anyone else have any news on this or am I hearing chinese whispers

Taymount Rise is public highway and I am fairly sure it can't be made permit only without a public consultation on the installation of a controlled parking zone (CPZ).

There was talk a couple of years ago about a consultation on this but nothing has materialised and I don't think is even in the current plan for a future consultation.

Maybe one of our local Councillors can advise?

There is a small parking area behind the flats at the bottom of the Rise that is now (as of yesterday) subject to L&Q's parking permit scheme. Maybe that's where the rumour comes from?

This is quite close to the station and a prime candidate for CPZ , I would have thought.
