Looks like our cheeky chinese chappies have had their chips.

It has been announced that 250-strong party will keep the Olympic Torch company on the 10-week journey round the UK. The super-fit hand-picked police runners will be supported by a further 41 Met officers and civilians to assist in managing traffic.

Apparently specialist sensitivity training will be provided along with additional instruction on how to keep flames alight.

No news on whether we will see the Olympic Torch on the South Circular.
