Hi There,
I am looking to convert my loft space (in honor oak) into an ensuite bedroom room. Has anyone done this - Do I need planning permission? I have a contractor ready to do the work but would like to get feedback from folk who have been through this work...ballpark figures on what it costs would be great too. Please PM me.

Cheers!
T

I saw a good TV programme about loft conversions.

Watch out for repeats.

But here is a link to a Channel4 programme:

40 cubic metres without permission needed I think. Phone Lewisham planners 8314 6000 and they'll tell you for sure. Just consult your neighbours unless you want to become a pariah. Someone's done their loft behind our house without warning anyone and is now roundly despised by around seven households.
