SE23/22 residents with children over 8 can take them to Southwark's nearby adventure playground if you're looking for this type of facility.

So Roz, Labour get us into the mess which promts drastic cuts so that councils have to start charging and it's everyone else's fault but labour??!!

No problem with out of SE23 posting but it's just a bash the Tories post and offers nothing new from Roz. It's also not an accurate post with no supporting facts.

Spot the difference. I'm sure these two posts couldn't possibly have been by the same poster. That would be ignorant. Oh, no, wait.

You mention councils like Bromley. These Councils get a much lower grant and infact subsidise the likes of Lewisham

I know you don't believe in evidence, and generally disappear from threads when asked for some to justify your hatemongering, but can we see some evidence for this, please?

I have not got figures in front of me but I am certain Lewisham gets more grant per citizen than Bromley.I assumed this was common knowledge not hatemongering. If I am wrong then I profoundly apologise.

And how is that subsidising Lewisham?

Because Bromley are receiving less per person, then they are getting less than they should from Central Government. It is only by charging some councils more that the Government can charge others less. Surely this is a subsidy.

I'm just an onlooker with no axe to grind either way, but even our Labour-run borough has a 'persona non grata' policy for outsiders who'd like to use our facilities. I suppose, rather than charge outsiders to use their adventure playground, Wandsworth could make similar stipulations to those used by Lewisham, in which case their £2.50 charge could be seen to be quite reasonable (and inclusive) - especially as it doesn't exclude kids who haven't got their passport and electricity bill on them!

LEWISHAM's STIPULATIONS FOR PEOPLE USING ONE OF THEIR FACILITIES:-

ID and proof of address
We need proof that you live in the borough, so please bring original documents proving your ID AND your address.

Proof of ID and address:
•driving licence
•Lewisham resident parking permit
•blue badge parking permit

Proof of address:
•gas, electricity or telephone bill, no more than four months old
•water bill, no more than 12 months old
•bank/credit card/ building society statement, no more than four months old
•current council rent book or council tenancy agreement
•council tax bill, less than 12 months old
•residents' yearly parking permit
•TV licence reminder or vehicle licence reminder, no more than 12 months old
•housing association tenancy agreement or housing association rent book.

Proof of identity:
•credit/debit card
•work ID
•gym membership with photo
•medical card
•national insurance card
•passport.

Ooh, Landmann Way dump? Do I win a prize? Do I?! Laugh

If so, maybe a bit different, as limited space there to cope with waste from other boroughs...

Quote EDD - If so, maybe a bit different, as limited space there to cope with waste from other boroughs...

I was merely commenting on the principle - and the fact that there is clearly good and bad wherever you go - but please don't tell me that Lewisham doesn't have the resources to accommodate others if it chose to do so. Even Bromley council welcomes outsiders into their smaller dump for a fee:-

Costs
Bromley residents need to bring their reuse and recycling permit when visiting the centre in order to deposit bulky household and garden waste free of charge. Users not living within the borough will be charged £3 per visit.

I still fail to see what it has to do with Roz or anyone else in se23 what Wandsworth charge for, surely its up to the residents if they dislike it, to vote them out, seeing that Wandsworth has been Tory for many years, theymust be doing something good as it appears that the residents do like what they do

So what are all you Tory boys and girls doing hanging around Lewisham? Fallen on hard times? You must be suffering, poor things, having to live under a Labour council.

Actually Roz I dont mind living under THIS Labour council as they are very good. Sure it would be nice for them to be Tory but they are not so I get on with it. I aint going to bash THIS council because they do well, should that change then I would.

Will keep you posted.
