Hi everyone.

We used to have some responsibility for 2 cats (the exact arrangements are rather complex) because we used to live at Austin Close. The house concerned has changed occupants and now there is a dog there.

The first is this semi-longhair tabby cat with socks and bib. He was always semi feral but we would feed him regularly although probably not exclusively. We call him Tim and we would like to know if someone else is now looking after him.





Also there is another cat who used to live in Austin Close and who we tried to bring to our place but unfortunately he escaped several times and returned to his old home. We have now lost touch with him and would like to know if he has found a new home. He is tabby and white with a white tip on the end of his tail. We called him Mordechai.

We don't claim to own either cat exactly but we would like to know if they are safe.

Anyone feeding these moggies?

Mordechai looks very like one at Lynne Court - my neighbour and I have been feeding him and are worried about what will happen come the winter

You could take him to the Vet/RSPCA and see if he's chipped. If so they will hopefully be able to trace the owner.

Mordechai is not microchipped and is friendly with elder children. Tim has been semi-wild for at least 8 years.

neither my neighbour nor I can take him in as we have a cat each already - that's why we are worried about him come the winter. He is a lovely cat so it would be good to find him a good home. I'll work on my other neighbour who is currently cat-less

Modecai is not the same as the semi-feral cat I have just taken in but she does have the very same distinctive head markings ie. white off centre line and tabby head. I wonder if they are related? We have had her spayed to discontinue the line!

Has she got white tip on the tail?

no but then cat relatives don't all share the same markings

Thank you all for feeding Mordechai. I have seen him yesterday and he looks well.

I fed him this morning (as soon as I opened the curtains I saw him see me from next door garden and go and sit by his bowl - he's not daft ) but am still worried about what will happen to him in the winter

No, he is not.

I saw him on monday about 5.30 and fed him - hope he is ok
