A few years ago, one of our neighbours in Sydenham had a nocturnal brush with some exotic feline. See this BBC BIG CAT NEWS ARTICLE.
I was in my garden last night and a twig snapped behind me. My first hysterical thought, while I jumped out of my skin, was not of a prowler but of this cat! However, did I think of that after all of this time?
Have there been any other sightings that anyone knows about?

Apart from those two no...
They are giant domestic cats, known as Maine Coons. Over a stone each.
To give an idea of the size:
I guess if you saw of of them in the dark at night, you would probably do a double take. Hoewever I do remember the Sydenham Beast story...

I saw a giant cat about to pounce on KFC in Catford.

The 1st one hangs around the place trying to get in my door when I come home.
The 2nd lives next door.
The third was spotte in the long grass on One Tree Hill.
There is also something around that can climb 7' garden fences and leave stinking baseball sized turds in my garden...there is no other explanation...Alien cats

Some animal does big poohs in our front garden, think it is a cat not dog or fox - now we have found the culprit - one of those Maine Coons.
BD - I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel
