Well done Sophie-Rose. Great that this is happening our end of the 'hood. I'm looking forward to it already. If you have some easier tasks than finding tug of war rope, I may be able to help!

Hi
I am on Marler Road, end nearest Hurstbourne Road and would be interested in joining in/helping out? Anything going on our end?
Helen

We're on Vancouver Road. Keen to hear more and help out where we can. Good for you for organising this. Smile

Hello Everyone!!

I hope you are all well! Just a quick post to let you know the details of my big lunch:

The Elsinore Road Big Lunch! (Between Vancouver & Woolstone Road)

12-4pm

A fun family and community event! Bring some chairs and a tasty dish to share at our street party!

Meeting at 81 Woolstone Road - 8th May at 3pm
(Please RSVP by text to Sophie-Rose on 07800 515 247)

Very exicted about this and amazed at how much input from neighbours we have had! The bunting is being made as I type :D

Thanks,

Sophie-Rose xxx

Hello

Just wanted to give you an update on the Hurstbourne Road Big Lunch in case there are any Hurstbourne residents on here.

The road closure has been approved, for lower Hurstbourne i.e. the section inbetween Vancouver and Woolstone. Sorry but it took ages to get the signatures and so we couldn't get the whole road closed! However residents on 'upper' Hurstbourne are more than welcome to be involved / come along. Just send me a message via this site or pop a note through my door (number 81) so that we have an idea of numbers and who to expect! The general motto is to bring a chair and food to share.

The party is running from 12 - 5pm (the road has to be reopened at 7pm). If you have any ideas happy to hear them. If you'd like to muck in tasks include: making bunting, taking a turn on the BBQ, helping to run games, tea monitor, general clearing and tidying etc. Also any live music very welcome!

We'll be meeting next on Wed 25th at 8pm, but also in touch via email before then if you want to send me your email address.

Best wishes

Jane

Sophie did an amazing job organising this. Popped along and so sorry that the weather didn't cooperate, but next year i am sure it will be glorious!
