Myself and a friend were walking past the bus stop at Duncombe Hill (going towards Honor Oak Park) and 4 youths tried to mug us. They were 2 young guys (both black) and 2 girls (1 black and 1 white).
They didn't try to hide their faces at all (except the white girl) and were basically relying on the fact that they were aggressive and thought we'd just give them our stuff.
We didn't - and I got a punch in the face for my troubles - but I didn't see why I should give some kids anything, just because they were threatening.
What made me really angry though was that some one was sat at the bus stop the whole time this was happening and didn't do or say anything.
I didn't bother reporting it as I couldn't really recognise them again (I was too busy concentrating on where I was going to smack them back).
I have lived in the area for 6 years and can't believe that this has happened. These kids were bare faced, young (14-15 max) and just thought that they could get away with it by sheer will.
