One other option if you are at London Bridge, get the train to Catford Bridge and then get the 185 or 75 (depending on where you live).
Good luck getting home.

I too was very delayed into work this morning from Honor Oak - ended up taking the 171 to Elephant & Castle, then Northern line to Angel - too me over 2.5 hours to get to work!
I have responded to Southern's 'contact us' page on their website and suggest other disgruntled passengers do the same... will be interesting to compare responses/excuses.

Beside Catford Bridge there's Catford Station which goes up to Elephant and Castle and on to Blackfriars. Not a bad line, certainly as an alternative anyway. I use it myself. You even get a seat most days!

Sorry, I should have said, you can pick up that Blackfriars train at Crofton Park too.
