Kilmorie is really well equipped for this expansion and, whilst it will make the school large, if managed well it could prove a very positive educational environment.

Thanks for all the information, I am hoping to attend the meeting on Monday, to get more information, in order to hopefully make a more fully informed decision!

One concern of mine however is that Kilmorie recently received a downgrading in its Ofsted report from Good to Satisfactory, and I would welcome reassurance that if this expansion were to reach fruition, that measurements would be put in place to ensure that the school does not suffer adversely from the expansion, is fully supported and properly managed, and not just seen as a quick fix to a growing population that is predicted to increase further over a relatively short period of time.

On another matter in the news today, a high court ruling has rejected the education secretary's decision to axe Buildings Schools for the Future (BSF) projects in six local authority areas and was ruled unlawful as he failed to consult on it, although Lewisham is not one of those authorities it is of interest. A little off topic,but great news about the ruling. Lets hope these schools get the funding that they were promised and this ridiculous diversion of funding into unaccountable 'free' schools is also stopped in its tracks so that a more strategic and reasonable approach can be taken to school remodelling and extension, and perhaps even a new school, provided and run by the local authority!
