Someone set fire to the post box outside WHSmiths on Sunday, which is why it is sealed shut at the moment.
If you posted anything over the weekend, it is probably better to assume that your mail has been destroyed. (I do not know how serious the fire was)

I would imagine setting fire to Her Majesties Mail is a very serious event.
Why oh why do we produce such people.
