Poll: When should planning permission be approved?
Always, people should be free to develop their own homes.
Never, I even objected to my own kitchen extension request.
Only if it benefits developers and no one else.
Only if it fits into the neighborhood estethic, which should match my own personal taste.

None of the above.

Permission should always be granted when an application is valid as defined by current planning law. Planning law should be structured to avoid abuse by unscrupulous developers. Enforcement for unapproved developments should be swift and severe.
