I'm on Honor Oak Road and my building doesn't seem to have recieved any mail since the snowfall a couple of days ago. Our bins have also not been collected and things are starting to pile up. I understand the weather will have affected both, but I'm wondering if it's just us!

Royal Mail have service updates online, but they are very not specific in terms of which areas are affected and which are not.

I've had no post since Tuesday. The roads between my house and the sorting office in Perry Vale have been completely negotiable so I am at a loss to understand why I've had no post. I know some areas are inaccessible, but it would make sense to make deliveries where they can to minimize the backlog.

Just did a bit of checking and it seems all refuse collections in Lewisham are cancelled until Monday when the situation will be reviewed.

Went to the SE23 sorting office today having had no post for several days and expecting some important deliveries. They said that there were no deliveries being made on many routes 'because it was too dangerous'. They found a few letters for me but said they had too many packets to look through to check... Isn't struggling with the weather part of the job for a Postie?

I think in the current weather it is quite reasonable that refuse collections and postal deliveries are suspended till the situation improves. Here the pavements are like ice rinks so I have no problems with collections and deliveries not taking place.

Kudos, however, to the delivery person for "SE23" magazine, which plopped through my letterbox 8am on Tuesday.

I've had milk, newspapers and courier deliveries all week, but no post. I know the pavements are bad, but how about sending out some of the letters with the parcel vans? They did that last year to clear the backlog, so why not start now?

No bin collections, according to Lewisham website, but I did get the latest Lewisham Life two days ago.

I've had post today, and no money could pay me to be delivering it in this weather so appreciation where it's due.

However, my bins are rather full. Let's hope they can get it sorted soon.

Apologies, or one that involves travelling somewhere at least twice a day.

I certainly wouldn't want the posties being forced out onto really dangerous roads. And I'm glad to hear that some people have had post. But I'd like to know why they haven't delivered MY post. I'm on a main road, with double decker buses running 24/7, meaning the road has been passable the whole time. The footpaths are snowy but not icy. I've had all my other regular deliveries. But no post. And now they will be scrambling to catch up. If there was a genuine Elf 'n Safety reason why the postie couldn't come to me and my neighbours, I'd like to know what it was.

Probably depends what proportion of your postie's route was along your road against all the other 'too icy' ones but yes, now there's a backlog...

I welcomed our postman back this morning! Only a slightly bigger delivery than usual on a Saturday.

Our road appears to have had it's post delivered two doors out today (we got post for two doors along and so on). Somebody must have been on auto-pilot. Luckily we have good neighbours who have unpicked the mess...

I got the distinct impression that the 'postie' that delivered our mail on Saturday was one of the management/office staff rather than a regular postie. All hands to the pump and all that

Off Garthorne Road I don't think we had any missed deliveries last week.

A sterling job from the postperson concerned - and impressive in the conditions.
