Does anyone else recall (and miss) the days when the 194 stopped at FH instead of Sainsburys at Bell Green? It used to run down Perry Vale/Perry Rise, which is now (I think) poorly served by just the 356, which isn't frequent enough.

Anyone know why TFL made it stop at Sainsburys? Did they ask anyone? I suspect it wasn't for customers' benefit, but rather convenience for them.

The buses used to stand in Westbourne Drive, which may not have been ideal. However I can't see why they can't loop around FH and still stop at Sainsburys. It would add to FH transport options. I also think more people would use the bus stop outside AllInnOne/Foresters if there were more buses.

It has been general policy over many years to shorted bus routes. I believe they think this gives them more chance to catch up time etc.
50 plus years ago you could travel from F Hill to the heart of North London.
Also if people have to chnage buses they have to pay twice.
I regret you are probably wasting your time but good luck in your campaign.

The 194 is still unreliable and a long winded route as it is, currently running the long way round to Croydon via Beckenham, Elmers End, Eden Park, West Wickham and Shirley.

The 356 service between Bell Green and FH is dreadful and it seems you have to plan your trip to Sainsburys so you don't miss the bus or it's the infamous 20-30 min wait, just to go up Perry Rise.

It doesn't help if you use the bus between 0800-0900 or from 1500-1600 when it also becomes a school bus.

I agree there are a lot of children at those times but as they always vacate theit seats for adults , are polite , and do not use mobiles etc it is no problem.

Brian, it depends on what day you get on the 356 and get on, most of the time, the kids are well behaved, at other times it's nothing short of disgusting. Objects being thrown about, kids with only one volume setting shouting in ones ear to their mate next to them and others being crammed on like sardines.

My comments were in jest . However do want to tar all children as many are well behaved.
