We've also got an extension of the ELL to look forward to in the new year as all trains from FH will call at Canonbury and Highbury and Islington which will give us another alternative to get to Kings Cross via the Victoria Line. (Or maybe discover Walthamstow at the other end!)

However the Thameslink extension will give us a direct link to Farringdon for the Metropolitian, H&C and Circle lines and Blackfriars for the District and Circle.

I know it's five years down the line, but I suspect Thameslink will replace the 2tph off-peak service to Caterham with Southern only providing the Victoria to London Bridge service, with the rest being provided by London Overground to Highbury and Islington/West Croydon/Crystal Palace.
