Does anyone know of a tidy little fireworks display local to HOP. I've got a 14 month old son and would love him to see a little display somewhere that's not on the madness levels of Brockwell Park Etc.

I enjoy wrapping up warm and going up Blythe Hill. A good view of a few displays, but far enough not to blow your ear drums out.

Only down side is the odd person who insists on letting off little ones in the actual park.

Can recommend the Railway Telegraph pub, if they are doing it again this year. Huge bonfire, sparklers, reasonably priced food and you can enjoy a pint too - plus toilets that are not portaloos! Despite being a pub, usually very child-friendly.

Railway Telegraph is on the corner of Standstead Road and Sunderland Road, on the south circular. Not quite Honor Oak, but not Tulse Hill either!
