I was fortunate in being able to join about a dozen others in a visit to Horniman's warehouse in Greenwich.
We were given an interesting tour and talk about the History of The Museum and The Warehouse by some very nice ladies.
Amazed to be informed that at any one time only 3% of items are on display at the Museum whilst the rest are in the warehouse.
Very interesting items many one which would not be able to be displayed for years.
I have vsited the museum from the mid 50's but had no idea they had so many items.

It was advertised - for example in se23 mag. I think the Horniman run these tours a couple of times a year. I would have loved to have gone, but was at work.

Really interesting! I must watch out for that - never heard of it before!
