Sydenham School has already secured £23m from Building Schools for the Future and this has not been lost in the recent round of cuts. Yesterday the news came in that the Minister for Tourism and Heritage has rejected English Heritage's attempt to list the tower block that could have seriously complicated development plans.

We can now look forward to another rebuilt secondary school in the local area.

Let's hope that nobody is able to prevent the re-build of this school. It would be a pity if some other part of the school building is thought to be of suitable significance to be listed and thereby delay the project. I feel honored to be able to answer your 1,800th post.
