I think we are getting carried away regarding the ethnic persuasions of the criminals concerned. Obviously the unfortunate citizen who was attacked was probably asked by The Police to give descriptions which would of course involve a racial element. How could it be otherwise.

Surely the main point should be to get the thugs behind bars as quickly as possible.

On the first point I am continually upset by every form I fill in usually containing a question about racial origin. I refuse to answer accept if forced to just British. Am I alone in my annoyance of these questions.
