There's been a brass band playing and I couldn't find the source. Anyone know where? It seemed loudest around top of Duncombe Hill and Lowther Hill. Maybe even someone's garden? But it was definitely live. Curious...

There was a band (Lewisham Concert) rehearsing in the Blythe Hill Tavern garden last sunday afternoon. Any chance it was from there?

That would make sense yes, though weird how sound travels. Wish I'd found it as it would have been nice to watch in the sun.

Indeed. They are obviously of a high standard. The previous sunday, it was very entertaining but disturbed by rain a lot.

That's funny. I thought I was imagining it as I could hear it at the top of Ackroyd Road too!

I heard it on my way home and thought it was coming from that private park behind Brockley View/Lowther Hill/Duncombe Hill

Ah, interesting. I had a look on Streetmap and yes, it's called Brockley Hill Park. Wasn't aware of it. I think it must have been coming from there as it was too near-sounding to have been from over the hill and down to BHT. I guess, nbeing private, it's not accessible to proles?

I think access is restricted to those lucky people who live directly backing onto it - being on the "plebby" side of Brockley View sadly I don't have that privilege
